Client review
Feedback pinned to the second it is about
“The bit near the end where the music changes” costs an editor twenty minutes of scrubbing. In Booksui the couple pause the review cut and leave their note at that moment; the comment carries its timecode, the version it was made on and the revision round it counts against.
Comments at the moment, not in an email
The couple watch the review cut in the browser, pause where something matters, and write their note there. Each comment shows its timecode, and clicking it jumps the player to that moment.
One list per round
Comments collect into a single list for the round, so the edit starts from everything the couple asked for rather than a string of messages. You mark each one done as the edit changes.
Rounds that match the contract
You set how many revision rounds the job includes (or a studio default). Each review is counted as a round, so a request beyond the agreed scope is visible before you start it, not after.
Sign-off in writing
When the couple approve a version, the approval is recorded on the job with the version it was given on, which is what the final render and delivery follow.
How it works
- 1Add the review cut to the gallery’s Films as a new version.
- 2Send the couple the review link.
- 3They pause, comment, and submit the round.
- 4Work through the list, upload the next version, and repeat until they approve.
Questions
- Does the couple need an account?
- No. They open the review link you send and comment in the browser.
- Can more than one person comment?
- Anyone you share the review link with can leave notes on it.
- Where do the revision rounds come from?
- From the job: set the number of rounds it includes, or rely on your studio default, and each review counts against it.
