About
The business side of a creative studio, in one place
Booksui started as a tool for wedding photographers and grew into a workspace for photographers, videographers, DJs, and event coordinators — the four crafts a wedding usually books together.
What we noticed
A studio running its business across five separate tools — spreadsheets for leads, a separate app for contracts, another for invoices, a fourth for galleries, email for everything else — loses the thread between them constantly. A client’s payment history lives in one place, their signed contract in another, and the photographer answering their email has to check three tabs to remember what was already promised.
Booksui puts the inquiry, the proposal, the contract, the invoice, the gallery, and the conversation in one workspace, so the answer to “where do things stand with this client” is one page, not five logins.
Built around the work, not a generic template
A photographer’s pipeline is not a videographer’s, and neither is a DJ’s or a coordinator’s. Booksui asks which of the four you do and adjusts the language, the default job phases, and the checklists that come with them — “confirm the family formals list” for a photographer, “confirm phonetic pronunciations for the entrance” for a DJ. It is the same underlying workspace either way, just speaking your trade’s language instead of a generic one.
We’re new, and we’d rather say so than fake it
You won’t find customer case studies or logos on this site yet. That’s not a design choice — it’s because Booksui is a genuinely new company, and every studio using it right now is one of our first. We could invent testimonials the way some new products do. We’d rather you know exactly where we stand.
What we can offer instead: a Founding Studio Program that locks your price in for as long as you stay subscribed, a status page with a real database check rather than a static “all systems operational” graphic, a public changelog of what actually shipped, and an import wizard that reads your HoneyBook, Dubsado, or Pixieset export directly if you’re moving from one of those. If something breaks or is missing, you’ll reach the person who built it, not a support queue.
Where we stand on a few things
- Your data is yours. Client contacts, images, documents — you can export all of it, any time, and we do not claim ownership over anything you upload.
- AI is optional, always. Every AI-assisted feature — drafting a reply, reviewing a contract, describing a gallery — runs only when you start it, produces a draft rather than a final answer, and never sends anything to a client without your confirmation.
- Payments are yours too. Invoices and offers are charged through your own Stripe account. We are not in the middle of your money.
Questions, feedback, or something that’s missing? We read every note.
