Film delivery
Deliver the film, not a folder of files
A film arrives at the end of a long edit, often in more than one cut. Booksui delivers it from the job: the couple open one link, press play in the browser, and see which version they are watching. The download, the licence terms and the balance sit on the same record that started with the inquiry.
Every cut is a numbered version
The first review cut, the revised cut and the final film are versions of the same delivery, not three unrelated links. The couple always open the newest one, and you can see which version each comment or approval was about.
Watched where it will be watched
The film plays in the browser on a phone or a laptop, without an app and without downloading a master first. Downloads of the master and the agreed formats are a separate switch you turn on for the final version.
Licence and balance beside the film
The delivery sits beside the contract that set runtime, revision rounds and licensing, and the invoice that says whether the balance is settled, so you can see both before you switch on the final download.
Every trade on one job record
Photographers deliver galleries from the same kind of job record; a studio that shoots both photo and film keeps each delivery on the job it belongs to.
How it works
- 1Open the client’s gallery and add the film under Delivery → Films.
- 2Upload the cut or paste its Vimeo or YouTube link; it becomes version one.
- 3Share the link with the couple; they watch it in the browser.
- 4Upload the next cut as a new version when the edit changes.
- 5Switch on downloads for the final version when the balance is settled.
Questions
- Can the couple download the film?
- When you switch downloads on. Until then the film plays in the browser and the master stays with you.
- What happens to the earlier cuts?
- They stay on the job as earlier versions, so you can see what changed between rounds.
- Is it on every plan?
- Delivery uses your plan’s storage; see the pricing page for each plan’s storage.
On every plan
- Import from HoneyBook, Studio Ninja, Pixieset, Pic-Time, ShootProof or CSV
- Works for photographers, videographers, DJs and planners
