How it works
- Connect Stripe once from Settings. From then on each invoice link opens a hosted checkout for the balance due.
- The retainer can be requested on the contract page, so signing and paying happen together. The balance can be one invoice or a payment plan with a due date per instalment.
- Cash or bank-transfer payments are recorded by hand and mark the invoice paid the same way.
- Stripe charges its processing fee, and Booksui adds a platform fee to each client payment; both are visible on your Stripe Connect page.
Honest limits
- Card payments need a connected Stripe account; without one, invoices can still be sent and marked paid by hand.
- Payouts follow Stripe’s schedule to your bank. Refunds and disputes are handled in Stripe, with Booksui recording the outcome.
- Starter includes 10 invoices; on Pro and above they are unlimited.
Steps
- 1Settings → Invoices → Connect Stripe.
- 2Send a proposal or an invoice from the client’s conversation.
- 3The client pays on the page; the job shows the payment.

- Starter is free with no card; Pro is $29/mo, Studio is $59/mo and Agency is $99/mo, or $290/year, $590/year and $990/year billed yearly. Pro and Studio start with a 14-day free trial, and client payments go into your own Stripe account.
