Live Capture

The guests’ photos on the big screen, kept by you

Live Capture turns the reception into a shared photo wall. Guests scan a code on the table, take photos on their own phones, and the photos appear on a screen in the room. You decide what is shown, and afterwards every photo is in one private gallery on the job, not scattered across forty camera rolls.

A QR code, no app

Each Live Capture event has its own QR code for table cards or a screen. Guests scan it with their phone camera, accept the photo-sharing notice (and give their name or email if you ask for them), and start taking photos in the browser. Nobody downloads anything.

You approve what is shown

Photos wait in an approval queue until you let them through, so nothing reaches the screen that should not. Approval can be turned off for a crowd you trust.

The slideshow

Open the slideshow on a laptop connected to the venue screen or projector. New photos join it as they are approved, and it moves on by itself.

Afterwards

Every guest photo is kept in one private gallery on the job. Pick the best into the couple’s gallery, and file the guests who ticked the keep-in-touch box as contacts, tagged with the event, in one click.

Sell it as an upgrade

Couples already pay for guest-photo apps. One click adds Live Capture to a session type as an optional upgrade, with a description written for couples and a suggested price you confirm or change first. Nothing is offered until you confirm it.

How it works

  1. 1Create a Live Capture event under Delivery and choose whether photos need your approval.
  2. 2Put the QR code on the tables or the screen.
  3. 3Open the slideshow on the venue screen and approve photos as they arrive.
  4. 4After the event, keep the gallery and pick the best photos for the couple.

Honest limits

  • Guests need a phone with a camera, a browser and a signal or Wi-Fi at the venue. There is no app, so there is nothing to install, and nothing works offline.
  • Approval is on by default. With it off, anything a guest uploads goes straight to the screen.

Questions

Do guests need to install an app?
No. They scan the QR code and use their phone’s browser.
Can something inappropriate end up on the screen?
Not while approval is on, which it is by default: a photo shows only after you approve it.
Who keeps the photos?
You do. They are stored in a private gallery on the job, and you choose which ones the couple receives.
